In this article, we will guide you through the process of editing the query created for your channel.
How to edit a query?
To access and edit your channel's settings:
1️⃣ Navigate to the section where your channel is located.
2️⃣ Select the specific channel you want to work on by clicking on it.
3️⃣ Click on the channel's name next to the "@" symbol at the top of the page to access its details.
4️⃣ Click on "Settings".
5️⃣ Select "Edit query".
In the query section, you'll see the filters already applied (such as sectors, companies, insights, geography). You can make the following changes:
- Update an existing category: Click on the category you want to modify. You can delete or add keywords as needed.
- Add "topics": This option is available only when using the insights filter, as it displays our collection of available insights on the platform. You can select any relevant insights and save your changes.
-
Add a custom category of keywords:
- AND: To include both the existing keywords and the new ones you're adding.
- OR: To include either the existing keywords or the new ones.
To add a custom category:
1️⃣ Click on "+ Custom".
2️⃣ Give it a title.
3️⃣ Add the relevant keywords for your topic of interest.
To add a new line:
1️⃣ Click on "+ Add a new line".
2️⃣ Pick one of the following options for the new line:
- AND: To include another dimension (e.g., sectors, companies, insights, geography).
- AND NOT: To exclude specific keywords. This is useful if certain keywords keep appearing in your articles but aren't relevant to your search.
3️⃣ Select the type of filter you want to apply (such as sectors, companies, insights, geography).
4️⃣ Click on "+ Custom".
5️⃣ Provide a title and add the keywords related to this filter.
⚠️ Important: After adding custom keywords or making any changes to your query, don't forget to save your changes! You’ll need to save the modifications both after adding custom keywords and when you're done making all your changes to the query.
Once you’re done, the AI will also recalculate your channel's description. You can then choose to either save only the query or save both the query and the description, if you're satisfied with both. Please note, the description doesn’t directly impact the articles you receive in your channel.
🎉 You're all set!
