This article will guide you on how to gain control over which sources and types of content are used in your channels.
With this new feature, you can now whitelist or blacklist sources and content types at the channel level, giving you even more precision on how insights are generated.
📌 How it works
- Whitelisting allows you to focus a channel on specific sources that are most relevant to your use case.
- Blacklisting lets you exclude sources that are not relevant, helping reduce noise and keep channels focused.
- You can also filter content based on its type, independently from the source, allowing you to decide not only where data comes from, but also what kind of content is included.
⚙️ Advanced options
Broader matching (Shows more content with faster updates)
Broader matching increases content coverage by including more contextually relevant results and prioritizing faster updates, at the expense of strict filtering precision.
⚡ Where to set it up
You can configure both Sources and Content Types :
1️⃣ When creating a new channel : the option appears in the channel setup flow.
2️⃣ From an existing channel : go to the channel settings and update the whitelist/blacklist at any time.
🎯 Why use this feature
- Ensure your team sees insights only from the most valuable sources.
- Keep your channels highly relevant and actionable for your use case.
- Focus on specific sets of sources exclusively (LinkedIn Posts, Scientific Papers, Competitors' Websites…)
💡 Quick note: The feature works seamlessly with Ask AI and other channel functions, so filtered sources are automatically considered when generating insights.
